Doree founded FineLine Construction in 1980, and prides herself on being well respected in the construction industry.
Her hands-on approach to each individual project has earned Doree a reputation for establishing excellent working relationships with clients.
With a background in sculpture and experience in building while working with Vista (Peace Corp), Doree came to the Bay Area and began her career as a design build contractor.
She has combined her knowledge as a superintendent and journey-level carpenter with her expertise in business administration and construction management in the field of construction to create personalized and positive results for clients.
With over 25 years of construction experience as a journey-level carpenter, foreman, superintendent, and construction executive, Paolo brings hands-on experience coupled with his acute understanding of business management.
Paolo Friedman, joined FineLine Construction after college, where he studied business administration.
Noted as having an ability to come up with effective options that provide clients with what they want, he is a team player with a unique skill of delivering successful projects in an efficient manner.
Vice President Operations
Emily has a passion for developing systems and operations. Having experienced early in her career the difference loving one's job makes in life, her goal is to build stronger communities by building people up.
After a successful career on the development side with non-profit and for-profit real estate development organizations, Emily joined FineLine Construction in 2015. She remains connected with the values of the non-profit work through the community-based clients FineLine serves and as a Board Officer of the East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation.
Emily earned her Bachelors in City and Regional Planning at Cornell University and Masters in Urban Planning at Columbia University.
Martin began his career in construction accounting in 1991 after graduating from California State University, Fresno.
In demonstrating commitment to his profession and the construction industry as a whole, Martin is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), completed the MBA program at California State University, Hayward, and earned his Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) designation in 2011.
Martin joined FineLine Construction in 2013 and oversees all finances of the Company.
Vice President Construction Services
Kris joined FineLine Construction in 2017 and brings 20+ years of construction management experience. Kris is passionate about delivering client value, specifically the role it plays in building today’s multifunctional business environments. Kris' intimate construction knowledge and understanding of the client / stakeholder processes allows him to span the gap between site and client.
Previously, Kris served as Construction Executive at Boston Property Construction, where he also chaired the senior leadership team and executive committee. Prior to that, Kris was the Construction Director for Urban Commercial Interiors, a commercial fit out company in Australia.
As an Olympian and member of 2 World Championship teams, Kris understands the critical link between team work and leadership and the importance of goal setting for high potential growth individuals and companies.
